OFS SELLS ITS OSP CLOSURE PRODUCT LINE TO CICADA TECHNOLOGY INC.
Norcross, GA, February 15, 2005 OFS, designer, manufacturer, and supplier of leading edge fiber optic products, today announced the sale of its Outside Plant (OSP) Closure product line to Cicada Technology Inc., of Albany, Georgia. OFS and Cicada Technology Inc. jointly reached an agreement for Cicada Technology Inc. to acquire the OSP Closure product line based in Norcross, Georgia.
The acquisition will enhance Cicada Technologys product offering in OSP fiber cable connectivity. Products included in the line are Fiber Optic Closure 2400LG/SC, Fiber Optic Closure 2418LG1, Fiber Optic Closure 2550SC, Fiber Optic Closure 2600LG, Fiber Optic Closure 3000SC and Fiber Optic Closure UCB series. Cicada Technology now owns the physical assets and has a right to use the technical information relating to OFS OSP Closure product line.
